This time we spoke inspirationally. After the introductory music, Lonneke told us that she had a closed dish in which she kept germanium (metalloid) in it. It is a superconducting material and is often found in semiconductors. With this material nearby it is possible to make a better contact with Spirit. Now it had pieces of paper in it with a word written on each one of those pieces of paper. The intention was for members to randomly select one of those pieces of paper (with Lonneke’s help, of course) and to give an inspirational speech about it.
After Lonneke had picked up a piece of paper, Alexandra was the first in turn. She was allowed to speak about the word “parents”, and so she did: “Parents are the epitome of love. Parents are caring, protective, and guiding for their loved ones. Parents are inspiring and plant the seeds for the future. To do this, trust in each other and God are needed. This is not possible without each other. When there is a conflict, the parents have the greatest chance of influencing this in a positive way in their children for a better life. More importantly, parents should always have unconditional love, non-judgment, and value their children. Because that is what creates their [children’s] reality. When one parent is positive and encouraging and the other is negative and condescending to their children, [the children] are negatively affected by the latter. Because people are sensitive to negativity, it is necessary that parents have a good connection with the Light of God. The stronger the connection with this, the better it is. And I know this first hand. We should always try to keep this connection as strong as possible during our daily lives even when we breathe, sleep, eat, drink, and work…etc. That is the only way to spread this Light. Never allow the negativity to enter your mind. And if it does happen, press the red button and release it. I myself have experienced this several times and pressed this button. And you know my bear Bobo [alluding to a concept similar to pressing the red button] is my best friend here. So, a parent is Love and passes that love on to his or her children, family, acquaintances, group, country, continent, world, and the universe. That's what a parent can do. He or she consists of Unconditional Love, and that is what God is.” Then it was my (Hennie’s) turn. Lonneke drew the word “glasses” for me. And so I began: “Glasses influence your mind because you always see situations in different ways. He shows you positive and negative things and is always looking for a balance, like between the two lenses of your glasses. The lenses of your glasses always shine in the dark and the light. You see a burning candle. Sometimes the flame burns steadily but occasionally it flickers. You always look for balance when you look through the glasses. Sometimes you can see everything clearly, but sometimes not. But that's okay, because that's how life is. You can never really miss your glasses. It fills your mind with beautiful thoughts, colors and white light. This white light that shines through the glasses is soft but can also be hard and blind your eyes, but it doesn't matter because that's how life is.” Next, it was Ingrid's turn. Lonneke drew a piece of paper with the word “puppy” on it. Without hesitation, Ingrid spoke: “A puppy means hope. Hope for a new life, a new beginning, love, tenderness, and commitment. You have to take care of a puppy, give love as much as possible. Most of the time he brings joy to the family. People always have to smile wonderfully when they see a puppy, and he gives them tenderness that he shares with others. They also recognize the period when they were small themselves.” Lonneke drew the word “rose” for herself and started speaking: “When we talk about roses, everyone knows what they look like, what colors they are, and what they mean to us. When we see red roses, we think of love. When we see pink roses, we think of softness. When we think of white roses, we think of purity. We use roses when we celebrate at parties. Even when someone has gone to Summerland, white roses can mean a lot at funerals. It can be a kind of memory that brings you back to previous celebrations or other moments that you have experienced for yourself with, for example, a bouquet of roses. Roses have an essence just like people have with bearing the Light. Roses can smell wonderful. Can you remember such a smell? Maybe you can smell it now when you think of this. It is a gift when you have flowers around you like roses. They also depend on us once we start taking care of them. They can grow optimally in an environment that we create for them. Without rain and soil, a rose will not grow. We are connected in everything and therefore also with roses. I would like us to remember the essence of the rose, for it is the same essence of who we are. To symbolize the rose, he is a bearer of the Light just like us.” Although the group was small tonight, Spirit’s energy was great as it inspired each one of us to express our thoughts and feelings on the words Spirit gave us. Alexandra focused on a parent’s unconditional love as she connected it to God’s Light and Love; I on glasses and how the two lenses symbolize perceptions and the need for balance; Ingrid on a puppy’s presence as it inspires hope, nurturing, love, tenderness as well as empathy through childhood memories; and Lonneke on the essence of a rose as a token of love, ceremonies of all kinds, senses, cultivation, and bearer of the Light. Each inspirational speaker gave us words of wisdom. So much for the highlights of this evening. Thank you all for the wonderfully inspiring words. And, Lonneke, thanks again for the beautiful guidance.
